Help! i need advice with this problem

last year my friend and i got into this mild fight. i heard from one of my other friends that she hated me so i just stopped talking to her all together. now since the new school year is coming and i got my schedule and shes in 5 of my classes, and shes the only person i no in those classes. idk if i should ignore her or try to become friends again and idk how she will react if i do go up to her. i just would like to see what other people would do in this situation... so please help!Help! i need advice with this problem
The way I see it you have two options. You can walk up to her and talk about the fight and how it wasn't a big deal and you feel that you both over reacted. Explain to her that you guys are in so many classes together it wouldn't make sense not to be friends again and maybe help each other out.

The other option is to find some different friends in the classes and leave her alone.

I would opt for option 1. :)Help! i need advice with this problem
You need to just play it by ear. Don't over think it. Isn't the main reason you go to school is to learn something? Go to your classes, do the work and talk to the other kids around you when you're finished.

School is kinda weird. You can actually go through different friends every year. It's not a huge thing so don't blow it up to be. You'll be fine, it won't be the end of the world of you two don't get back to the way you were before. It really isn't. In school you'll end up changing friends like you do classes every day.

If you want to be back friends with that girl then you need to talk to her and find out what it was that happened between you two and offer to rectify the situation. You will have to speak to her - there's no getting around that. A closed mouth doesn't get feed love.

Best of luck.
ooh bummer.

well do you know for a fact that she hates you? have you asked her why?

what if your other friend was just lying to you? well cause that's what happened to me once, so yeah thats why i'm asking.

just keep it as it is. if you want to talk to her then go ahead but if you feel like that's not a good idea then don't, keep your distance. just make other friends in the classroom.
talk to her like you forgot it happened. if she doesnt seem to catch on or still seems mad, you need to apologize. say someone told you that she hated you, and that it made you really mad. now you realize that you shouldnt have accepted the info secondhand, think the little fight was stupid, you acted like a jerk, and you are sorry. even if its not true, the apologize needs to sound sincere and not like its blaming her. after that, just be freindly to her, and hope that she forgives you. also, you should try to get to know some of the other people in your classes.
well try talking to the other ppl that are n your classes and mabye since she doesnt have anyone to talk to she will try talking to u! thats what i would do!
Maybe she got over the fight, if I were you I'd probably try and talk to her. It's not like she'd scream at you in the middle of school. If she doesn't wanna talk just move forward because she isn't a real friend. There's plenty of other people who would talk to you.

New job???!! Any advice for my problem!? -will choose best answer-?

I have been working as a hostess at a local restraunt for a couple weeks (it was my first real job) but now im hired at the grocery store, so I have two jobs now.

Ill be bagging at the grocery store and getting carts.. that type of thing.

Yesterday after the training I was supposed to work today (the 2nd) because there is a big 12 hour meat sale... I called to see when I was supposed to come in and the schedule making lady (not sure if shes manager or not o.o) Told me 5 pm to 8pm and I was like

WTF

Because the hiring manager knew that i cant work between 5 and 10 at night because i host at the restraunt during dinner! He knew this before they hired me and he said that the grocery store would work around it. He also told another manager that i was goin to be the new ';day time clerk';

The scheduler woman didnt know about my restraunt schedule but why didnt the hiring manager tell her? Is it going to be like this all the time? I cant work between 5pm and 10pm will they get that or do i have to tell them every day when they sign me up to work!

Is it just because im new so the schedule is messed up alot? They wont fire me for being ';picky'; because of my hosting job would they?!

Any advice would be nice, has anyone else had experiences like this?New job???!! Any advice for my problem!? -will choose best answer-?
I too used to work two jobs and this same thing happened to me. What I ended up having to do was asking the manager or whomever does the scheduling put a note under my name saying not available to work from 5pm to 10pm. It is most likely a communicaton error on their part or was just simply forgotten. I am sure you can clear this up and continue to work both jobs. Good Luck! You sound like a hardworker! New job???!! Any advice for my problem!? -will choose best answer-?
make it very clear that you can't, and won't be there during those hours. if they can't follow your wishes, you shouldn't have to work for them anyways....

  • * I THINK I MOVED TO QUICK WITH A GUY, NOW I THINK I PUSHED HIM AWAY * HOW DO I FIX THE PROBLEM?? NEED ADVICE!?

ive known this guy for over 5 years, and i just got in touch with him again recently.. he is in the army, he is in germany right now, and will be going to Iraq next month. he wanted my number so he called me 2-3 times a day, every day for 4 days. he would talk about us moving in together, and he would let me drive his car, and he would tell me that he wants to have sex with me, and we would talk about my ex-bf's that were jerks, and he said he would beat them up if they messed with me, and he would talk about us going out having a good time and etc.. and then i left him comments on the internet saying ';i miss u, i'll be thinking about u'; and i noticed he deleted those comments.. so i started thinking negatively like ';oh maybe he deleted them bcuz he was embarassed and didnt want anyone to see'; so i emailed him and i said.. dont call me anymore, im sure theres lots more prettier girls out there, i dont think in the right girl for u, i dont want to get atached to quickly and then get hurt, i try to stop it before it happens, bcuz i dont want to be hurt. and i also told him that its only been 4 days and im already falling for him, and the things that he would say were so sweet and i liked it, but i am trying to push myself away, because i dont want to be hurt, and because i know guys dont like it when a girl moves to fast, plus i told him that i am going through depression and i am trying to better myself, and i should be worrying about myself and not others. so he emails me and says i understand i think, have a good one, hope everything goes wonderful for u, and hope u get things where they need to be, get better, have a good one. now i cant call him, he can only call me, so i have been contacting him through a site on the internet, but he hasnt been on in 3 days, so i realized that i shouldnt of told him that i liked him.. i shouldnt have expressed myself to fast like that.. my question is.. how do i fix this.. what can i email him to let him know that i am calm and cool.. i like him and i want to talk to him and honestly i would love a relationship with him.. but i dont know what to do.. i will try to keep my distance and not move to fast even tho i want to.. i DO NOT want to push him away.. and i think i might have already scared him off.. but how do i fix this.. i really need help.. i have never ever asked for advice on things like this before.. i am 20 years old. thanks for all answers. i hope u can get the big picture with some details i provided. * I THINK I MOVED TO QUICK WITH A GUY, NOW I THINK I PUSHED HIM AWAY * HOW DO I FIX THE PROBLEM?? NEED ADVICE!?
For a start, your question is far too long for anyone to read carefully through. I am guilty of that too so, you may not want to rely too much on what I say. One thing is for sure: you not only NOT want to push him away but you may have sounded desperate and that may have frightened him away. I understand all about you not wanting to get hurt [who does? unless a masochist] but it is not the thing we go about advertising because it is like advertising the fact that we are not going to ';give all'; in a relationship. Keep thoughts like that private. If you want to avoid situations that will cause you problems, why should he not also want to avoid them? Men are simple beings. Men like to think that they are getting something for FREE because they are so great. A clever woman feeds this delusion that men have about themselves and she manipulates them to her own advantage. Draw on the wisdom of your female ancestors since prehistory and set your ';tender trap';. Grab whatever little happiness life gives us so rarely and in such small doses. Nobody can give any guarantees up front, it is not like buying a car. Relax, let it flow and go with the flow.

What's your advice for this problem?

What's your advice for this problem?

i am illegal here in the US. my 3 year visa expired last december 5th of 2008. and tried everything i could to process my papers in rightful and lawful manners. but nothing happened.

some people push me to marry someone for the sake of 'green card'. what is the stand of the church about this?

i know they mean to just 'be practical' but is it immoral? facing such moral dilemmas and ethical problems bring me to a greater question 'what is more important in life?'

considering that i am married and have 2 kids waiting for me in cuba. my wife and my 2 kids are waiting for me. but there's no way i can get them. and we just live a simple life in cuba.

i know i will earn a lot here in the US but i also have this pain of choosing work instead of being with my family. but you also have this mentality that your the head of the family and you should be the provider. but i know my presence is not there.

maybe i am just afraid of becoming like my father who left us when i was a kid and came back after 15 years. i always ask myself: should i stay? or go home? i don't know. but i still have time to think.

    what's your advice?

thanks. What's your advice for this problem?
The honorable thing to do is go home. What's your advice for this problem?
You cant marry here because you already have a wife and family. If there is no way that they can come here all you can do is make the choice to go back or to send them money to make their life easier without you. I think your children would prefer to have less and have you in their lives but of course you know your family better than I.
Illegal would be an indication for you to go to your country and not try to harm ours because of the laws that we have here.

Good luck and we wish you well

But in as much as you undermine the ability for real folks to make a living and take care of the people who have worked for these rights.

    Sorry no empathy here.
What part of Illegal don't you understand,You need to go back and try to get it done right. That's the way it should be done.

That's why we are spending millions of dollars on immigration.
The moral and ethical thing to do is to go home. You're a law-breaker and we have enough of our own in that category.
while you can keep working and saving . This is probably the best way to help your family so good luck !
    ';Bye-Bye';.
    go home

    or
Go Home - or get in line and get your papers the legal way
    please ... go home
My advice Time to go back to Cuba
If you marry to stay here and have a wife and children at home, then any church would consider that a sin. That is bigamy and is also illegal. If you are a Catholic, it is worse. The honorable thing to do would be to return home to your country and your family. While you may not wish to return to a communist country, it is in your best interest to do so. Things may open up in Cuba before long, but you have a family who needs you.

    That is more important.
Talk to a lawyer who is experienced with immigration matters relating to Cubans in the United States. The laws are different for Cubans than for people from most other countries. Nobody here expects anyone from your country to return to a Communist dictatorship. It is quite possible that your status is not illegal.

I do not believe churches have a stand on this issue that differs from that of the federal government. As far as your family is concerned, that is between you and your wife and children.

Considering the fast pace of changes in the world right now, it is possible that it will not be long before relations between the United States and Cuba will change for the better. Contact Cuban-American organizations in your area to keep current with those changes.
Immoral? You already have a wife and 2 children and entering into a false marriage to stay is immoral. It is deceitful and you know you will divorce before you even get married. That is playing with something sacred. I've known more than a few who have married for a green-card here in this university city, seems like one thing they had in common is that they made a deal with the devil by doing so. And they didn't have a wife and children back home either. So many sad stories for all parties involved, you don't know who and how many people you will hurt in the process.

Christians; Need some advice about a problem with a friend?

Ok well to start off I'm a christian and I have this problem with a friend that has reached a point where he won't talk to me anymore. He's christian too but doesn't go to church anymore. I've done my part in terms of trying to talk to him and telling him I'm sorry but he just doesn't want to hear it. So I've just let him be for the time being.

My problem is that I feel like crap. We are both in college and he was the friend who was there. We were like brothers and now that he's not there I just feel alone and hurting. Don't get me wrong I have plenty of other friends in college but I don't share anywhere near the same bond I did with him. And my home is 3 hours away so I can't just go back all the time and be with my family and close friends. So I guess my question is, how do I cope with these negative feelings while I am here at school. Basically I just want some good christian advice. Thanks.Christians; Need some advice about a problem with a friend?
Is there a Christian ministry on campus you can get involved in? I'm involved with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at my university, and they're a great group of people. There may be a chapter on your campus too. Check their website to find out: http://www.intervarsity.org

If you have done all you can to truly and humbly apologize to him, there is really not much else to do at this point. He must forgive you, and you can't force him to do that. It's tough, but you should definitely meet some new people (see my previous paragraph) who will be there to support you. Give your problems to God in prayer and worship. In time, he will make things right, or give you peace, or whatever is in His will... but I know that he will not abandon you or leave you hurting!Christians; Need some advice about a problem with a friend?
The best of friends will have arguments and problems. Even Jesus said for one moment, ';Father, why have you abandoned Me?'; So don't freak out, it's perfectly natural. Pray for him first off. Having no clue what actally began this problem, all I can say is probably leave off a little bit and don't be on top of him or anything.

    God bless
Pray and fast, go to God before anyone else. Remember that you are a child of the Most High, ';A broken and contrite heart I will not abandon.'; Maybe he took what happened too seriously, pray for God to reveal the situation in depth and to touch his heart.
Pray!! Pray to The Father. Pray to Jesus. Pray to the Holy Spirit for Wisdom, Understanding, Right Judgment, and Counsel. Pray for your friend, He needs Jesus more than ever.
Just pray and don't confront him about it. Remember the the son that took his fortune from his father and left and came back to him one day? Pray and maybe one day he will come back to his friendship and you will forgive him.
pray pray pray!!! spend time in God's prescence and meditate on His words. I'm sorry I feel your pain, and think of Christ his very disciples left him in his most dire need. I feel the pain Jesus does too!!!! virtual hugs!! %26gt;%26lt; and I feel really bad for you cause I'm a Christian teen and I know the pains of school when people tend to pick on your beliefs. BUT we must think of the positive-the friends you have now geta really deep bond with them now maybe God wants you to get a stronger bond with another friend.
Just give it time. U apologized im sure after he calms down and has time to think, things will get better.
This is a difficult time for you, but it won't last. Read Ecc. 3:1-9. Hope this helps.

    God bless.
Hi! If you have done everything within your power to try and resolve this conflict between you and him, then ask the Lord to convict his heart. Have you offended him? Ask for forgiveness right away! If he still does not respond, give it to the Lord and let go. God will find a way to enlighten this person and show this person that forgiveness is vital to the Christian walk. Just continue to pray for this person. Even if he does not want to reconcile the friendship between you two, you have done all you can do to resolve this. The Lord will bless you. I hope this helps! Peace!
the first 5 or 6 answers are pretty on the target ... I have been through just what you are talking about, and it is very hard.. but, as suggested by many, pray and let God handle it at this point... If you have done all you can do, then the rest is out of your hands made of flesh.. And, as a person of an , ummm, more mature age, this does happen in life.... Some times friendships and relationships serve the purpose intended and life moves on.... I believe that in our lives, each and every person that passes through is sent for a reason, and that is to gain knowledge of something.... and even in pain and heart break there is knowledge.... look for the lesson, learn it, remember it !!!!!!! go in peace.... God bless
It actually sounds to me like perhaps you DID something to cause your friend anger. If this is the case, you need to ask to be shown how to make this right again... and when the answer comes... DO IT. This may go a long way to a friendship restoration.

If you've done this, you've done all you can do. All that is left to do is pray for your friend, pray for strength to endure while your friend is angry, pray for God to burden your friend with forgiving you... and above all, pray that God's will be done on the matter.
Some friendships just pass their sell-by. Happens a lot with men. Let it go, find some new friends.

If you still feel there's some life in your friendship, think what else kept you together apart from church and try to meet or chat around that. And he's off church, find out positively what he IS interested in now, and see if you can share that.

If you feel like crap because one relationship has gone cold on you, that could suggest it was a bit obsessive? I only ask because I had friendships like that when I was your age.
Your friend obviously needs a lesson in forgiveness. If we want to be forgiven by god we must forgive others. Never quit praying for your friend, but it sounds as if he is backing away in his devotion to Christ. It is hard when we are close to someone and loose that relationship. But as a man of God who will be used greatly in the Kingdom you have to be careful as to not get to soulishly tied to anyone. (soul=mind, will, emotions)

You may be entering a new level in God amd must stay connected to only those God has connected you to spiritually!

I'm not saying this is for sure the case. This person could be a spiritual connection and the enemy is attacking w separation?

Pray about it. If God reveals to u that He is not to remain your friend be willing to let go. Being devoted to Christ is not always easy. It sometimes requires great sacrifice.

Draw close to God during this time. Maybe you have depended too much on this friend and this time of separation will help you to redefine your friendship and reconciliation will happen later on?

I feel you have a great call on your life so don't give up! Stay connected to the body. The pain will get easier and you will heal. My prayers are w you!

Get closer to your brother in the natural. He very much wants this. Allow God to clear out hte misunderstandings and jealousies of the past!

    Build Friendship Through Prayer

5 Would you like Jehovah to think of you as his friend? He spoke of the patriarch Abraham in that way. (Isaiah 41:8; James 2:23) Jehovah wants us to develop that sort of relationship with him. He actually invites us to draw close to him. (James 4:8) Should not that invitation make us reflect on the unique provision of prayer? How difficult it is to obtain an appointment to speak to an important government official, let alone become his friend! Yet, the Creator of the universe encourages us to approach him freely in prayer, whenever we want or need to do so. (Psalm 37:5) Our incessant prayers help us to have a close friendship with Jehovah.

6 How easily, though, we can neglect prayer! Just dealing with pressures of everyday life can absorb so much of our attention that we do not make an effort to speak to God. Jesus encouraged his disciples to “pray continually,” and he himself did that. (Matthew 26:41) Though he invariably found himself busy from morning to night, he set aside time to talk to his heavenly Father. Sometimes, Jesus got up “early in the morning, while it was still dark,” in order to pray. (Mark 1:35) On other occasions, he retired to a lonely place at the end of the day in order to talk to Jehovah. (Matthew 14:23) Jesus always made time to pray, and so should we.—1 Peter 2:21.

7 Appropriate moments for private prayer present themselves many times each day as we face problems, encounter temptations, and make decisions. (Ephesians 6:18) When we seek God’s guidance in all aspects of life, our friendship with him is certain to grow. If two friends face problems together, does not the bond of friendship between them become stronger? (Proverbs 17:17) The same is true when we lean on Jehovah and experience his help.—2 Chronicles 14:11.

8 How glad we can be that God puts no limit on how long or how often we may talk to him in prayer! Nehemiah quickly uttered a silent prayer before making a petition to the king of Persia. (Nehemiah 2:4, 5) Jesus also offered a brief prayer when he requested that Jehovah give him the power to resurrect Lazarus. (John 11:41, 42) Hannah, on the other hand, “prayed extendedly before Jehovah” when she poured out her heart to him. (1 Samuel 1:12, 15, 16) Our personal prayers can be brief or lengthy according to the need and the circumstances.

9 Many prayers in the Bible express heartfelt appreciation for Jehovah’s supreme position and his wonderful works. (Exodus 15:1-19; 1 Chronicles 16:7-36; Psalm 145) In a vision, the apostle John sees the 24 elders—the complete number of anointed Christians in their heavenly position—praise Jehovah, saying: “You are worthy, Jehovah, even our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they existed and were created.” (Revelation 4:10, 11) We too have reason to praise the Creator regularly. How happy parents feel when their child thanks them from the heart for something they have done for him! Reflecting appreciatively on Jehovah’s kindnesses and expressing our heartfelt gratitude for them is a fine way to improve the quality of our prayers.

I have a problem i need help with, i don't know what to do. need advice?

I moved into a new apartment complex (995 dollars a month) about 1 month ago. ever since i moved in, i've been having an issue with the people upstairs making loud noise. i can hear their tv loud, they talk loud, and they storm around alot the floors creak excessively. over time it has driven me absolutely nuts.

I have taken these steps in this exact order:

    1) I went up there and i talked to them nicely, and asked if they could please keep it down. they said yes i will keep the tv down (closed door in my face)

    2) i went up there a second time days later as problem continued. i suggested the fact maybe your television is close to the wall? vibrations? they got rude and said no i lived here 3 years i never had any problem before you, closed door in my face

    3) i talked to my landlord. he talked to them and they had a conversation. problem continued even after this.

    4) i talked to landlord multiple times and he mentioned they were moving soon but wont give me a date for legal reasons.I have a problem i need help with, i don't know what to do. need advice?
Your landlords hands are tied if you dont stand up for yourself and call the police. He has addressed the issue with both of you to no avail. Unless he has a couple of police reports (not just one), he has no ammunition to evict them. He told you they were leaving, just not when. Stick it out. If he knows they are leaving then he was given either 30 or 60 day notice, OR he is evicting them and couldnt, for obvious legal reasons, tell you that.

Now also keep in mind, in an apartment, 90% of the time you can hear the upstairs people talking or their radio or tv. It doesnt necessarily have to be loud, just not real good sound proofing. So unless your pictures are bouncing off the walls, I would leave it alone. Let them leave.

Then if you can hear the next tenants tv or radio or even them just talking, then you know the soundproofing is lousy. There is nothing you can do about that except save up and move out. Get a house instead of an apt and you wont have that problem.

I live in the lower of one of my rentals. The upstairs has thick carpeting and padding and I can still hear them talk (in normal tones) and the tv going. Mine is an old duplex built in the 20's. But guess what, they can hear me and my family down here too. So it may very well not be intentional and your continued griping over something that may not be remedied has caused them to have an rude attitude towards you. This is what happens when you live in apts. Lots of give and take.I have a problem i need help with, i don't know what to do. need advice?
Do you have a rental board in your area? If you do, perhaps you ought to file a complaint about your upstairs neighbors' noise.

Could you tape the noise from your apartment?

I feel for you because I have been in the same situation in the past; noise always seems worse when it's over your head, I've found.

Excessive noise is difficult to prove. Check this link below that I found on our Rental Board's site.

Problem with 2007 taxes. advice needed?

okay so i filed my taxes like 2 months ago... and i was supposed to pay to the irs $200.00, yesterday i received a letter saying that i owe $1500.00 and they said my ssn was wrong what am i supposed to do in this case...this is like my second time doing taxes and never had problems before. i called the tax place but they don't really know what the problem is... irs is not something to mess with. what am i supposed to do?Problem with 2007 taxes. advice needed?
I hate when this happens. IRS has been known to make mistakes.

Your tax preparer should help you with this. Double check to make sure your SSN is correct. If not, send an amended return to correct the SSN and that should remove the assessment. If it is correct, send them a letter stating that all info is correct and there is no changes to the tax return. Then wait for their response.

Or, as a previous answerer stated, take all pertinent info to an IRS office and show the proof.

Good Luck to you.Problem with 2007 taxes. advice needed?
The IRS compares the number, your name and (if efiled), your date of birth.

One common problem is for newly married women to have mismatch between the name they have with social security and the name they used on the tax return. If this is the case, update it with the SSA, wait at least 10 days (to give the SSA time to send the updates to the IRS) and then call the IRS.

Another common problem is with hispanic names. If your name is Jose Garcia Lopez, the computer program may try to compare Lopez from the SSA records with Garcia from the tax return and will mistakenly get a mismatch. This can be fixed by calling the IRS. (Yes, it's a pain. Imagine an hispanic family where all have Garcia Lopez and *one* child gets a mismatch every year.)
First, check your social security card and compare that information to the information on your tax return. Then check to see if the social security number (SSN) is correct on any information returns sent to the SSA (Social Security Administration) or IRS by people who paid you wages or interest or anything else (W-2's and 1099's). If you electronically filed your tax return (from what you describe, I suspect you did not), your birth date also has to match. What ';tax place'; did you call? Your preparer or the IRS? The letter from the IRS should give you the details of the changes, if any, to the tax return.

I suspect, but do not know, the problem is the SSN on a W-2 is not correct and the IRS is missing some $1300 or $1500 in income tax withholding from your account because it was reported by the employer under an SSN that is not the same as yours. If that is the case, your employer will have to issue a W-2c to correct that error and also get your social security and Medicare records updated. This document, like the W-2 goes to the Social Security Administration rather than the IRS, so the IRS is not the place to try to get this corrected until you have the W-2c (they get their information from the SSA and - at this time, may not be able to access the W-2 information directly.
Take your bill and a copy of your return to your nearest IRS office and see if the representative there can sort out the problem.
