Need some advice with dog problem?

Ok so my Pit Bull Layla has some issues, she is obsessed with getting through the fence on one side of my yard (she never messes with the other 3 sides), its a 6 ft privacy fence that she will dig under, chew through anything to get to the other side. All day long she just runs up and down this fence. I have put about a 2 ft tall chain link fencing piece at the bottom to try to stop her nailed it to the fence and ever put cinder blocks along it..She will move the cinder blocks, bite at the chain link and usually ends up getting through. All she will do when she gets through is run around my neighbors back yard with their beagle and play. I have hired a trainer, and they gave up. Im seriously thinking about getting a shock collar, This was a nice fence before, i have already replaced 10 planks on it because of her chewing and breaking them, now it looks like crap. She does not do it when im out there with her so it's kind of hard to correct her so i was thinking with a shock collar i could spy on her through a window and correct her when i see her doing it. She also is starting to tear things up in my garage, lately i just keep it closed but i'd rather fix the problem and have her have access to go in there when she wants then just ignore it. When she is inside she is perfect never messes with anything i can leave all 3 of my pits inside for hours by themselves and come home to nothing messed with, it's just when she is outside, none of my other dogs do it but they will follow her through the fence. I am NOT getting rid of none of my dogs, so do not suggest that, but any helpful advice will be appreciated.Need some advice with dog problem?
Suggest running a line of ';hot wire'; a long the bottom of the fence, about one time hitting that will break her.Need some advice with dog problem?
Do the neighbours mind if she plays with their dog. If your best friend lived next door, wouldn't you want to be there? Ask the neighbours if she can go over to play daily. I'm sure they'll be fine.

I can tell you're a dog lover but PLEASE don't get a collar. They're awful things.
Honestly I wouldn't leave her outside unsupervised. Worse things than getting into the neighbor's yard happen to unattended dogs (especially Pit Bulls) all the time.

If you won't consider that option then you need to give Layla something to do outside. She has no entertainment other than the dog next door. Stuff a couple of Kong toys with treats and bury them in a children's sand box (put the sand box on the other side of the yard from where she is digging). On other days put the stuffed Kongs inside a bucket or box of other toys so she can dig through and find the goodies. When possible get a large box from an appliance store and put a few treats and stuffed Kongs in that. Keep the box open at first but once she gets the point, close the box with the toys in it. Vary the difficulty of any of these by packing the treats in tighter or using more ';decoys'; that she has to sort through.
I have to agree with the first poster - a hot wire (zip line) is probably the easiest and most effective thing to do... and you don't have to be home for it to work.

The dog keeps going through the fence because it WORKS for her ~ its rewarding because she gets to play with the neighbor dog (a self-rewarding action). By trying to blockade her rather than addressing the action, you've taught her how to be persistant and to keep trying... a zip line will stop the ACTION rather than teaching her to try harder.
